Hurricane Ike is bearing down on Houston (the picture above is from today at 8pm), and Team Fernandezlopez had to spend much of the day breaking down our agility field
Below that you see our pathetically empty field. Complete with Aframe and Dogwalk laid down flat. We don’t live close enough to the coast to worry about storm surge, but we very possibly may have to deal with power being out, and possibly being stuck at our house due to flooding.
We’ll let you know how we fair!

Ok – It’s prehaps a little nerve racking!http://climate.weather.com/articles/iketexas091201.html?page=1Officials think staying is the right call – but warn that that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.”It will be, in candor, something that people will be scared of,” Houston Mayor Bill White warned. “A number of people in this community have not experienced the magnitude of these winds.”
We live in Clear Lake, and found out Thursday morning we were in a mandatory evacuation zone. Hopefully we’re high enough the storm surge won’t get us (we’re in Clear Lake), but we’ll just have to see. We’re at Ann (Angel’s) house in Cypress, where her agility field is equally empty.
Stay safe and dry. Brittany and the Sheltieshttp://www.schaezler.net/brittany
Best wishes as you weather the storm.Kathy
