Quite a few years ago, I bought the domain fernandezlopez.org. I WANTED fernandezlopez.com, but it was taken. I kept my eye on it, and over 2 years ago I put fernandezlopez.com on backorder. This means that if whoever owns it fails to renew – we will immediately get it. I have a note in my calendar, and every year on the renewal date I anxiously await the news. And so far, year after year, whoever owns the domain name has renewed. It isn’t even being used (as far as I can tell). If you try and go to fernandezlopez.com on Google – it will kindly ask you if you meant fernandezlopez.org 
And so here we are once again. The domain expires tomorrow (Dec 4th). And I have a glimmer of hope that maybe this will be our year. In years past, the domain was renewed a few days before the expiration date. But this year, here we are, 1 day out, and it’s still listed as expiring tomorrow.
